Personal secret to success: I enjoy watching clients who are happy after our committed service. That is my biggest reward from this business. I strongly believe in going the extra mile to help clients. Being agents within an Ethnic market, my teammates and I always make sure all the requirements are met and sent on time even if clients forget. Also, whenever clients need help when changing their PCP, or information about formulary, we help them to receive the information and guidance that they need. Our service on ACA market clients is going on all year round.

What tips would you offer a new broker interested in selling Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans? Study, study, study to master your knowledge about the plan, and service, service, service with your heart.

How do you generate new leads? Advertise in local TV, radio and newspaper, seminars, present on radio and TV shows

How do you ensure your clients make the binder payment? First, we give instructions on how to pay a binder payment, and also give them the caution to watch their bank account if they set up EFT. We also use the Ambetter broker site to find out non-payment clients and give them a reminder call.

What would you like to see more issuers do in the ACA market or add to the market for the next open enrollment season? I don't know this will be possible, but I want to see more affordable plans available for the middle-income earner.
