Ambetter Health’s pharmacy program provides the appropriate, high quality, and cost effective drug therapy to all Ambetter Health members. Ambetter Health works with providers and pharmacists to ensure that medications used to treat a variety of conditions and diseases are covered. Ambetter Health covers prescription medications and certain over-the-counter medications when ordered by an Ambetter Health provider.

The Ambetter Health pharmacy program does not cover all medications. Some require Prior Authorization or have limitations on age, dosage, and maximum quantities.
