Ambetter Health of Louisiana

Important Reminder

You are receiving this notice because you are a contracted practitioner with American Specialty Health (ASH) and have been identified as a practitioner eligible to treat Ambetter Health of Louisiana members. Ambetter Health of Louisiana began offering chiropractic coverage through ASH on January 1, 2022 and members may be contacting your facility to access care for services.

You should be treating eligible Ambetter Health of Louisiana members through your existing relationship with ASH.

The benefit plan is administered as follows:

• Participation Requirements: Being a contracted practitioner with ASH for Ambetter Health of Louisiana makes you eligible to treat Ambetter Health of Louisiana members.
• Member Eligibility & Benefits: Prior to seeing an Ambetter Health of Louisiana member, you should always confirm eligibility and benefits. When an Ambetter Health of Louisiana member contacts your office to make an appointment, be sure to verify their eligibility and benefits before their first visit. The easiest way to do this is via the ASHLink^® website under the Search tab.
• Type of Access: Direct access. Members may self-refer to the Contracted Practitioner of their choice.
• Clinical Services Program: All covered services, except those approved under the Clinical Performance System, are subject to verification of medical necessity in order to be eligible for reimbursement. Check your Clinical Performance System Tier level on ASHLink for the number of visits you are eligible to treat before needing to submit for medically necessity review.
• Claims: Claims should be sent directly to ASH. Claims may be sent electronically through ASHLink or by mail to the address listed on the client summary.

This client summary and fee schedule is available on ASHLink by logging in and selecting Resources > Client Summaries.
