AUSTIN RESIDENTS: Boil Water Notice in Effect 10/22

The City of Austin has issued a boil water notice for all customers of Austin Water. The notice is being issued due to recent heavy rainfall.

This was announced Monday, October 22.

The notice comes after heavy rains brought flood waters into Austin’s water supply lakes. These flood waters contain debris, silt and mud that slows down the process of water getting treated.

To make sure water is safe, Austin residents should boil water for drinking, cooking or ice until further notice.
