In an ongoing effort to ensure high quality claims processing and payment, Ambetter from Meridian is taking additional steps to verify the accuracy of payments made to our contracted facilities. Beginning on or around May 2, 2026, Ambetter from Meridian will begin auditing selected inpatient DRG claims and associated medical records to ensure payments are applied in accordance with national correct coding standard rules.

Ambetter from Meridian has contracted with Cotiviti to assist us in this effort. If you have claims selected for audit, you will receive a letter from Cotiviti requesting medical records for these claim audits on behalf of Ambetter from Meridian. These medical records may be requested before the claim payment is made, or they may be requested after payment is made.
