Illinois Formulary Tiering Updates Effective August 1, 2026

Ambetter of Illinois is notifying providers of upcoming formulary tiering changes. Effective August 1, 2026, tier placement for certain medications will change under Ambetter of Illinois plans. These changes may impact member copays or other out-of-pocket costs for applicable medications.

Providers are encouraged to review the current formulary and discuss covered alternatives with members when clinically appropriate.
