Ambetter Health Affirms Continued Coverage of Child and Adolescent Vaccines

Ambetter Health is dedicated to ensuring access to high-quality healthcare, including ensuring uninterrupted access to child and adolescent immunizations and supporting providers in delivering preventive care.

Parents consistently identify pediatricians and primary care providers as trusted sources for guidance on child and adolescent immunizations.

Ambetter Health providers are encouraged to use the AAP immunization schedule to inform and standardize their clinical decision-making for pediatric care. Additionally, the following resources are available:

  • Ambetter Health’s My Health Pays® program*: Members can earn prepaid debit cards when they complete recommended annual well-child visits and immunizations between birth and age 2.
  • Quality Improvement program: Find helpful HEDIS tools for your practice on the Ambetter of Illinois website, such as the HEDIS® Pediatric Pocket Guide (PDF).

 

*Healthcare-related costs will vary by member and the plan in which you are enrolled. Funds expire immediately upon termination of insurance coverage. My Health Pays® rewards can be used for pharmacy cost share at Hy-Vee* and Walmart and at a mail order pharmacy (currently Express Scripts). *Hy-Vee is currently available in select states. Find a store at www.hy-vee.com/stores. Rewards cannot be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco, firearms products, lottery tickets, gift cards, or for cash.
