Ricoh Security Incident

Substitute Notice
On July 20, 2023, Peach State Health Plan became aware that our vendor, Ricoh USA, Inc. (“Ricoh”), encountered a cyber incident that involved our member information. During the incident, member information was viewed or downloaded by an unauthorized individual. Upon learning of the cyber incident, Ricoh immediately started an investigation and took measures to contain the incident and fix the system vulnerability, including reporting the incident to the Department of Homeland Security and engaging cyber security firms with experience in these matters.
The information involved in this incident included individuals’ name and one or more of the following: address, claim information, and health information.
While we have no indications of inappropriate use of members’ information, Peach State Health Plan is deeply committed to protecting individuals’ privacy and out of an abundance of caution, recommend that potentially affected individuals take reasonable steps to ensure the security of their information.
We are providing notice to individuals affected by this incident. The letter provides a reference guide of recommendations from the Federal Trade Commission on how to protect against identity theft, including information about free credit reports, security freezes and fraud alerts.
