CPT Code 0449U will no longer be a covered benefit under Ambetter Health of Delaware plans beginning January 1, 2026.

What You Need to Know:

• Code Description: CPT 0449U is a Proprietary Laboratory Analysis (PLA) code. PLA codes are specific to a single laboratory and are not universally applicable across providers.
• Provider Limitation: This particular code is exclusive to one laboratory and is not broadly utilized within our network.
• Alternative Options: Comparable diagnostic services are available through in-network laboratories, including Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp, which offer similar testing capabilities and are covered under Ambetter Health plans.
