2026 Financial Help
Healthcare Laws are Changing
We're With You
Federal laws are changing the 2026 renewal and financial support process. We're here to help you protect your coverage and make renewal as easy as possible.
What's Changing
- Your monthly health plan costs could increase due to changing federal government support. The amount of federal tax credits that help lower monthly premiums through Covered California, will be reduced in 2026. You may be eligible for an additional California Premium Subsidy through Covered California, depending on your income.
- If you are enrolled through Covered California, you must show income earnings to get financial assistance. During Open Enrollment, gather your annual income information and update your account information at Covered California.
- You must renew your coverage through Covered California beginning October 15th to keep any federal financial support. If you are enrolled directly through Health Net, you can make a plan change during Open Enrollment beginning November 1st, 2025.
Watch for More Information
As these changes are implemented, we'll make sure you have all the latest information so you know how to keep your coverage and control your costs. Information will be sent via mail and email. Keep checking back here for more updates.

Cost-share reductions
You can get premium assistance with any level of coverage if you qualify. Cost-sharing reductions only come with silver-level plans that are called Enhanced Silver.
Both kinds of help are based on your annual household income and family size. And both are available only when you buy health coverage through Covered California.
